My work today, is expressive figurative contemporary art most often based on the momentary feeling and mood. It's a reflection of a lifetime of unconscious inspiration and an ongoing creative practice. A universe of happy, dark, nonsensical and grotesque intuitions. I don't intend to deliver a specific message consciously, it is merely a reflection of a state of mind in the moment.
I call myself a portrait artist because the primary focus of my art has always been the human face. I am not a photorealist; in my work I attempt to capture a spark or the fleeting essence of a person during a moment in time. I was born in the Bronx to Italian-American parents. As a child I was anxious, timid, hesitant to show my true self to the world and confused about my place in it. I stared at the faces of people around me, in part because I found them visually interesting and full of color, and also because I struggled to understand where I fit in relation to others. I was perplexed and mesmerized by what the human experience might be like for everyone else. I studied fine arts and psychology at Fordham University, where I was particularly touched by the work of expressionist-era painters. All I yearn for is to deeply connect with others, and my portraits are the mechanism for that.

I am a business & design professional from Puerto Rico with over 14 years of experience in banking and investments and in 2014 made the transition to fashion looking for creativity, passion, beauty, and women empowerment. After working for various fashion houses in Paris, I decided to design my own products under Edalou Paris which led me to being nominated for an Independent Handbag Designer Award in NYC in 2019 and winning in 2021 A Design & Competition prize in Italy. My work has been featured in Vogue Italia, Conde Nast Traveler, Yahoo Finance and several fashion magazines. I did studies at Parson School of Design in NYC and have an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business of Duke University. In 2021 I found a space where my two expertise, design and finance come together— NFTs. I am currently a collector of mostly female-led projects like Boss Beauties, World of Women, Women Tribe, Wow Pixies, and Fierce Studios, Eyes of Fashion, Meta Angels among others. In 2022, I started serving as a junior board member of the Accessories Council (NYC) and I was also a curator for the Randi Zuckerberg NFT Accelerator HUG. Author of NFTs for GALS, best selling Women & Tech, and short read Money & Finance. I currently serve as Chief Fashion Officer of Eyes of Fashion NFT by artist Talia Zoref.
My art is a celebration of diversity, a rejection of conformity, and a reflection of the interconnectedness of all things. I draw inspiration from the intersection of art and science: exploration and experimentation. My interdisciplinary work is characterized by a rejection of preconceived notions about what art is or should be. I do not limit myself to any single medium, style, or technique. My approach is to allow my art to behave as all matter within a system does: it transforms as it interacts with other matter and its environment. This approach gives me true creative freedom. It also allows me to be open enough to transcend the systems and structures that limit me from creating something bigger and bolder than I can yet imagine. One of my core values as an artist is collaboration. Even when I work alone, I see my work as a collaboration with everything and everyone around me. Scientific principles and concepts often inform my artistic choices. For example, in my recent series of mixed-media works, I used mathematical and scientific theories to inform pieces that explore the blurred lines between the mechanical and spiritual realms of existence. I also do not shy away from social commentary in my work as my series "They Can't Erase Us" demonstrates. Ultimately, my work aims to transport the viewer into a world of vibrant colors, beautiful patterns, and bold shapes that challenge the way we see the world around us. By rejecting conformity and embracing interconnectedness, I hope to create a space for viewers to engage with my work in a way that is both playful and profound. I believe that art has the power to connect us with ourselves, each other, and the mysteries of life. Through my art, I hope to inspire others to see the beauty and interconnectedness of all things, and to embrace the transformative power of creativity in their own lives.
